“ We came here after seeing the restaurant on a website for the best 50 restaurants in each state and Gus came up at top for Arizona. We had the ham steak special that ia as good as it looks along with the waffle as a recommendation. We split both and could not of been happier. Big shout out to our waitress. Sorry I did not get he name. Thank you! Thank you! ”
“ Gus's has great breakfast plates and great chicken fried steak. They have been busy every time we have gone, but the wait staff keeps the coffee flowing and the cooks keep up with the business. We have never had to wait long for our food snd everything ordered has arrive in the condition requested! ”
“ Their homemade bread is amazing! Not to mention the cinnamon roll is HUGE! Food and service was amazing! Awesome small family restaurant, you need to check it out! ”
“ Good old-fashioned American breakfast. ”
“ Great great service...even during the busy hour. They served the best french toast I've had; homemade bread they used made he difference! It's a small place. Normal griddle eggs and frozen sausage patties...but this place killed it with vibe and service! ”
“ Great diner. This is a must place to try when in Tucson. My waitress Amanda was great, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and the place it's self. I was lucky enough to show up on rice pudding day. As I was told by Amanda, it only happens occasionally. The proprietor was present and working like any one else on staff. I always like to see that at a restaurant. I wish I could have got back for another meal,as the menu was very abundant with options. Next year upon my yearly visit, this will be on the agenda for meals. ”
“ This place is great! Literally every employee is welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious, especially the homemade corned beef hash! All of their breads are homemade, including their famous cinnamon rolls. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. We recently moved to the area, so this will definitely be a regular choice for breakfast! ”
“ Update: 11/16/24 Came in today for breakfast. I love chicken fried steak for breakfast and this establishment serves up a fantastic chicken fried steak breakfast. I had mine with decaf, buttered raisin toast, poached eggs and hash browns slathered in gravy. OMG good The most noteworthy aspect of my visit was the level of service l received from the server named Juliet. Incredibly rare to receive such a high level of genuine old fashioned customer service in the post pandemic world of indifference, truly refreshing! Original post: Good old fashioned locally owned cafe. I can't vouch for the lunch offerings, but breakfast is always top notched. IMHO: Eating breakfast at Gus's has been a treat for many years now. ”
